Youth Voice Objectives
- Exemplify interest in youth voice and invite peers and community members to join, for betterment of themselves and their community
- Advance in the development of critical thinking, leadership skills and character development.
- Learn trauma informed practices to educate peers and community members.
- Investigate issues within the community and create solution based approaches to service learning projects.
- Advocate for and assist leaders in developing heart based language and compassion.
- Motivate leaders to be involved in their community. Breaking and diminishing negative stereotypes and fear within society; build, respect, trust and positive relations to seek mutual understanding.
- Discover and communicate opportunities and resources leaders can be involved in.
- Pioneer a Train the Trainer Model and host presentations to educate peers and community members.
- Educate peers on multiple intelligences and how they impact youth learning, positively and negatively.
- Participate in intergenerational mentoring, individuals as teachers and learners alike. Expanding appreciation for others; bridging the gap.
